First trip Astro trip - Vangani
17-Nov-2020 Embarked on the very first astro trip with the telescope with some of the "pro" amateur astronomers... The place was Vangani and in process came to know that this place has had a special place with astronomers for years now.... but the place is in process of losing its charm... thanks to city lights.,. Was great time learning the process of setting up.. small tricks of aligning with the sky... Their gears and large scopes amazed me.. felt like I have a long way to go... Sightings were good through telescope... Taking pictures.. not so great... but some of my first attempts at these... The Saturn... dream come true... my first sight at this beautiful planet.. awestruck with Jupiter and its moons.. and of curse, the moon and its craters were a sight.. Mars was in opposition back then... a bit colour blindish I am.. find it difficult to spot the red colour of it... but through telescope... it was a great sight... Thanks for reading...
